ATHLETICS:

• Tryouts for the Girls Soccer team will be held Monday, October 13 and Wednesday, Oct 15 after school from 3-5. You must have a completed LHSAA physical to try out. Forms can be found on the Walker High School website and must be turned in on Monday, October 13 before practice. Any questions see Coach Sanchez in the Annex.

• There will be a girls Golf Meeting at the beginning of 4th block in the Annex Today. Check in with your 4th block teacher first for what they have scheduled.

• The Wildcat Swim Team had a season-high 18 personal records at the Lutcher Invitational Meet on Saturday. Every competing swimmer had at least one PR. Getting 3 PR’s each were junior Mallory Tatum, sophomore Jonah LeBlanc and freshman Alli Huff.

• Today, the Freshmen and JV football teams will play away at St. Amant. Freshmen start at 5:30pm, followed by JV.   

• The Ladycats volleyball team will also play away at St. Amant today. The freshmen start at 4pm, followed by JV and Varsity. Good luck to our Wildcats and Ladycats today!

  SENIORS:

• Seniors, if you took your senior portraits on the make-up day those pictures have been delivered.  Please check with your 1st block teachers.

JUNIORS: 

• Juniors, you are reminded that the Ring Ceremony will be on Thursday, Oct. 16th at 6pm.  If you have purchased a ring from somewhere other than Jostens, you should bring your ring to the front office for safekeeping until the ceremony. This is a “ring ceremony” so nothing other than a ring will be accepted!   If you have any questions about the ring ceremony you can come to the Annex during your lunch break or after school.

  
  

ALL STUDENTS:

• There will be no student gate this week, all students will enter through the main gate!

• Homecoming is quickly approaching!!!  The homecoming dance tickets will go on sale starting Monday, October 13th and you are reminded that all fees need to be paid before purchasing a ticket.  You’ll receive more Homecoming information later this week through Kinvo!

• We are excited to share that Neighbors will be conducting a WHS Homecoming Basket Giveaway this year! Any student that opens a new Mascot Checking account between 09/08/2025-10/17/25 will be entered into a drawing to win a Wildcat Branch Homecoming Gift Basket of $250.00 value. 

• If you attended Westside last year and ordered a yearbook, they’ve been delivered to the Wildcat Window. You can pick yours up before school at 7am, during your lunch break, or after school.

• The US AirForce Recruiter will be at all lunch shifts Today.  He will be set up the front of the cafeteria.    

• The US Army recruiter will be here on Wednesday at all lunch shifts.  Stop by the table in the front of the cafeteria to get the most current information on the ARMY!
