ATHLETICS:

• Tryouts for the Girls Soccer team will be held Monday, October 13 and Wednesday, Oct 15 after school from 3-5.

• You must have a completed LHSAA physical to try out. Forms are available on the Walker High School website and must be turned in on Monday, October 13 before practice.

• Any questions see Coach Sanchez in the Annex.

• There will also be a Girls Soccer meeting for current players as well as any new girls interested in trying out on Friday October 3, right after school, in the Library.

• There will be a girls Golf Meeting at the beginning of 4th block in the Annex on Tuesday October 7th. Check in with your 4th block teacher first for what they have scheduled.

ALL STUDENTS:

• BRCC-Baton Rouge Community College will be here at all lunch shifts Today! BRCC is known for its wide variety of associate degrees along with transfer courses to attend a 4-year university.   Stop by the table in the front of the cafeteria to visit with the recruiter from BRCC on Thursday!

• LA Tech University will be here on Friday at all lunch shifts!  LA Tech is known for its degree in Forestry and degrees in Engineering, Education and Business.  Stop by the table in the front of the cafeteria on Friday to get the most current information from LA Tech!

• Curbside Cafe will be on campus Today, October 2 for all three lunch shifts.

• The Menu for the food truck is - Pork Taquitos Students - you are only allowed 1 meal.  You may choose the food truck or the cafeteria, NOT BOTH. 

• If you attended Westside last year and ordered a yearbook, they’ve been delivered to the Wildcat Window. You can pick yours up before school at 7am, during your lunch break, or after school.

• Thank you to all classes that participated in our Food Drive! Congratulations to Mrs. Voss’s class for winning first place with 436 items donated. JROTC came in Second with 367 items donated. Great Job, Wildcats!
