ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR TUESDAY, APRIL 7, 2026   

ATHLETICS:

·Today, the boys golf team has a match at Santa Maria. 

·The varsity baseball team will play away at Denham Springs today starting at 6pm. 

·The Lady Cats softball team will play away at Archbishop Hannan starting at 4:30pm. 

·There are still some athletic letterman jackets from the delivery before Easter that have not been picked up yet. Please come by the Annex during your lunch if you're expecting a jacket.  No new jackets have been received since before the break. When the new jackets arrive, we will make an announcement.

·Congratulations to our 2026/2027 Golden Wildcats: Brookelynn Philebar, Carlee Walters, Charlotte Banta, Harper Moore, Julianne Sharp, Karalyn Baughman, Karli Pourciau, Leah Vaughan, Loryn Kilpatrick, Makenzie Wall, and Sydney Garrett

CONGRATULATIONS:

·Congratulations to the following students on their placement at the District Literary Rally on March 14 at Southeastern Louisiana University: Brooklyn Johnson 1^st place in Algebra I, Jacob Hutchison 1^st place Ag Science I, Aleijah Johnson 3^rd place Ag Science 2, Tyler Carney 2^nd place Ag Science 3, Chloe Covington 1^st place Ag Science 3, Edyn Ashford 1^st place Nutrition, and Ryleigh Hopkins Honorable Mention in three-dimensional art. Good luck to our 1^st place winners as they will compete in the State Literary Rally on April 18th."

ALL STUDENTS:

·Walker High students and staff don’t miss the Wildcat Theatre Senior Show, The Bold, The Young and The Murdered! Come support our Senior theatre students on April 10th and 11th at 6:30 PM in the Wildcat Theatre, Room 210. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, and seating is limited.

·Today is Smoothie Tuesday, Grab yourself a refreshing smoothie on your Lunch Shift.

·There will be a 4-H meeting this Thursday after school until 3:45 pm in room 1115.

·ACT TEST DAY IS THIS SATURDAY—ARE YOU READY? This is YOUR moment to shine! Check-in starts at 7:15 AM sharp, and you MUST be in your testing room by 8:00 AM. Check Your Calculator at ACT.org. Unapproved calculators will be taken away, and you don’t want that stress on test day! Make sure you bring: Your Printed ACT Admission Ticket, Your Photo ID (Driver’s license or school ID), #2 Pencils (No mechanical pencils!), Approved Calculator Snacks & Water (for breaks If you have questions, see Mrs. Courville in room 1106. Plan, double-check your supplies, and show up ready to conquer the ACT!

·Tryouts for 2027 Legacy Color Guard start next Tuesday after school in band room.  Interested students should pick up flyer at Wildcat Window or from Mr. Hirst in the band room.
