ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, 2026      

ATHLETICS:  

·Any girl interested in trying out for the inaugural Lady Cat Flag football team must sign up in the Annex Office by Friday 8/21. There will be an informational meeting next week after school. Listen to announcements for the date and time. 

·Our varsity football team will scrimmage South Lafourche High School tomorrow in Wildcat Stadium at 6pm.  Students get in free WITH YOUR ID!  

SENIORS:

·Seniors, we still have a lot of senior portraits in the Annex that need to be picked up.  Come by on your lunch break or before/after school and grab them. 

STUDENTS:

 Theater Club will have a meeting today after school till 4pm!

·FCA will be every Friday morning at 7am in the theater room 210.  This Friday we will have Pastor Cody Wilson as our guest speaker.  All students are invited to attend.

·Any student interested in joining HOSA: A student organization for future healthcare professionals, should pick up a registration packet outside Mrs. Bourn's room, 311. 

·Your Student LEADERS would like to thank you for all the feedback given yesterday.  We started going through the suggestions for Homecoming yesterday and there are some great ideas!  More news to come on homecoming in the coming weeks.  We also appreciate your school feedback, and we are going through all those ideas on how to make Walker High the best it can be.  Thank you for participating and sharing your voice!!!

·The Marine Recruiter will be at all lunch shifts tomorrow, August 21!  Stop by the table to get more information!
