ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 9, 2026    

ATHLETICS: 

• Today, the Lady Cats softball team will play Denham Springs here at home starting at 5pm.   

• The varsity baseball team will play away at East Ascension today starting at 6pm. 

ALL STUDENTS: 

• Walker High students and staff don’t miss the Wildcat Theatre Senior Show. Come support our Senior theatre students on April 10th and 11th at 6:30 PM in the Wildcat Theatre, Room 210.  

• There will be a 4-H meeting today after school until 3:45 pm in room 1115. 

• Tryouts for 2027 Legacy Color Guard start next Tuesday after school in band room.  Interested students should pick up flyer at Wildcat Window or from Mr. Hirst in the band room. 

• Students - if you are interested in being a Student Athletic Training Aide next year, click on the link posted on the WHS app under announcements or email Bryan.Hutson@lpsb.org to receive the link to the online application. All applications are due by the end of the day, Thursday, April16th! https://forms.gle/DhHCphDSLKcEBroWA  

• Get ready to crush the ACT! Check-in opens at the Annex on Saturday, April 11th at 7:15 AM sharp. You MUST be in your assigned testing room by 8:00 AM. If you’re not in your seat by then, your test will be CANCELLED—no exceptions! Make sure to bring: A Photo ID (Driver’s license or school ID), Your Printed ACT Admission Ticket, #2 Pencils, An Approved Calculator, And Snacks & Water for breaks. See Mrs. Courville in room 1106 if you have any questions. Set your alarms, plan, and bring your A-game!
