ATHLETICS: 

  • The Waker Cross Country Team will be competing in their first race tomorrow, September 20 at Highland Rd., Park in Baton Rouge! “The Bayou Boogie” Race starts at 8:00. 


  • Good luck to our swim team as they are competing at Ketcham on Saturday at 9am. 


  • Good luck to our volleyball team as they compete in the Hammond Tournament on Saturday.


  • Tonight, our Wildcats will kick off our first home game of the season against Central here in Wildcat Stadium at 7pm.  Gates will open at 6pm.  Don’t forget to use the new student gate behind the field house.


ALL STUDENTS:

  • Students, check your Kinvo messages for a link to vote for Homecoming court. Voting will open this Sunday, September 21, and will close next Sunday, September 28. Make your vote count.


  • Walker High Key Club and Mentorship program are sponsoring a food drive starting Monday, September 22-Friday, September 26.  The 1st block/homeroom class with the most collected wins a sweet reward. A donut party.


  • The ultimate showdown is back, Bloomer Bowl 2025 kicks off Monday, November 10th at 6:30 PM! Girls, hit the field and battle for glory! Boys, step up as coaches and cheerleaders! Sign up today and rep your grade in the big game! For Packet pick up visit the Wildcat Window or the Annex! For additional Information, see Mrs. Dalton in room 1110 or Mrs. Delaune in room 107 or the annex! 


  • There will be a Theater Club meeting on Monday, September 22, right after school. All members should plan to attend.


  • To ensure the safety of our students we have a new admission policy for students attending home football games. ALL students will now enter the stadium through the new student gate located on the backside of the field house. ALL students will need to show their STUDENT ID to enter. Tickets can also be purchased at this student gate. No backpacks will be allowed, and all purses will be subject to a search if deemed necessary by administration or security. Tickets or student passes can be purchased through I2 tickets. If you have any questions, see Coach Sanchez in the Annex.


  • The US Army recruiter will be in front of the cafeteria on Monday, September 22 at all lunch shifts.  He will be glad to answer any questions you have concerning the ARMY!
