ATHLETICS:
·Congratulations to the Lady Cats volleyball team for their win over Liberty yesterday. The Lady Cats are back in action on Thursday.
STUDENTS:
·Students, it's time to give an update on our Rise to the Top Leader Board.... for Class Points.
Class Points that were earned for August for our behavior incentives included:
The Least dress codes were the Seniors
The Least ID violations were the Seniors
The Least Tardies were the Freshmen
And... the Least absences were the Juniors
Currently, this is what the leader board looks like ...
Tied for 3rd place are the Sophomores & Juniors with 350 points each
Second place are the Freshmen with 600 points
Barely ahead, but in First place, are the Seniors with 650 points
·Friday's football game is the next event that you can earn class points. 300 points are up for grabs for the class with the most attendance at the game. This means, we could easily have a new leader after Friday night!!!
·“See you at the pole" is a nationwide event where students gather at the flagpole to pray. All Walker High students are invited to join in prayer this Wednesday morning, September 23rd at 7am at the flagpole across from the cafeteria. See you Wednesday morning!
·All students are invited to FCA sponsored "Pizza and Jesus" Bible studies every lunch shift on Mondays and Wednesdays. "Pizza and Jesus" is in the team room next to the fieldhouse. See you there!
The Louisiana Army National Guard will be set up in the front of the cafeteria at all Lunch Shifts today! Come by the table to get the most current information about the Army National Guard!
·Bloomer Bowl 2026 Kicks off Monday, November 9, 2026, at 6:15 pm! Girls hit the field and battle for glory! Boys step up as coaches and cheerleaders! Sign up today and rep your grade in the big game. Visit the wildcat window or the Annex! For additional information see Mrs. Lauren or Mrs. Delaune in the front office!
