ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR TUESDAY, AUGUST 11, 2026
ATHLETICS:
·Girls Soccer will hold try-outs Wednesday night from 6-8 in Wildcat Stadium. If you are interested in trying out you must bring a current LHSAA physical, tennis shoes or cleats and shin guards. Any questions see Mrs. Allen in room 604.
SENIORS:
·If you missed getting a "Letter to Yourself" at the Senior Sunrise, you can pick one up from the Annex. Don't forget to turn these in to us for safe-keeping. We will give them back to you at graduation.
STUDENTS:
· Class Kickoff Event News: The Junior Launch is cancelled for today and the Sophomore Surge is cancelled for Thursday since we did not sell the required tickets for those events. For those that purchased tickets ... you will be refunded. Both classes will get some points on the leaderboard for the tickets that were purchased.
·The Freshmen Fusion is STILL ON!!! You have sold enough tickets and tickets are still available for those freshmen that haven't purchased your ticket yet. The Freshmen are really close to passing up the Seniors on the leaderboard. Great job Freshmen.
·Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have our first meeting of the year this Friday morning in the theater room 210. We meet before school every Friday from 7am until the bell. All students are invited to attend, not just athletes. See you Friday!
·Anyone wanting to audition for Percy Jackson needs to meet this Wednesday after school briefly in the theater room.
MENUS:
Lunch Line: Chicken Strips
Breakfast Line: Buttermilk Sausage Biscuit

It's wonderful that students have so many chances and activities presented to them. The news regarding sports, class activities, and the approaching theater audition makes the week seem rather exciting. I especially appreciate how students are motivated to participate in many events and become involved outside the classroom. Maintaining things orderly like this is somewhat like creating a 1 page business plan clear information in one place makes it much simpler for everyone to understand what is going on and what to do next.
It’s a real shame for the 10th and 11th graders that the Kickoff event was cancelled due to insufficient ticket sales; however, the 9th-grade "rookies" showed an incredibly impressive, breakthrough spirit—they’re practically nipping at the seniors' heels. Speaking of "guessing" your luck or racing for points, it immediately reminds me of dordle—where you have to solve two puzzles at once and a single slip-up can cost you everything, but seeing all those letters turn bright green delivers such an amazing rush of victory!
