ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 2026     

ATHLETICS:  

·Today, our Lady Cats softball team will play their first playoff game against Central here at home at 5pm.  Please come out and show the Lady Cats your support. They need your help!  We have discounted student tickets on sale at i2Tickets.com.  Free student entry is not available for the playoff games.  

CONGRATULATIONS:

·Congratulations to the Walker High School MCJROTC co-ed Team for winning The Army National Raider Challenge All-Service Division in Fort Knox, Kentucky this weekend and earning the title of National Champions. This is the 2nd Year in a row that Walker has won this event. The Walker Raider Boys Team also finished 4th in the Boys All-Service division.   This event featured over 120 of the best Raider teams from all service branches across the country.  We are very proud of our MCJROTC cadets for representing Walker High and your program so well. 

ALL STUDENTS:  

·FCAs annual Fields of Faith event will be this Wednesday April 22nd at 6pm in the new gym. This is a student-led event that will have food, games, worship and a message. All students are invited!

·Today is smoothie Tuesday! Grab yourself a refreshing smoothie on your lunch shift!

·The Walker High School swim team will have a meeting on Friday for returning swimmers and students interested in joining the swimming Program. The meeting will be at 6 PM this Friday in the Cafeteria. For more information, pick up an information sheet at the annex.

·WHS Boys Soccer tryouts will be held on Wednesday, April 29^th and Thursday, April 30^th at Walker High School stadium from 6pm-7:30pm. Any student wishing to tryout can grab a signup form in the annex as well as get a physical prior to tryouts.

·The next order for athletic letterman jackets will be this Friday, April 24th during lunch.  Order forms can be picked up from the Annex. All order forms must be pre-signed by your coach or the athletic director indicating that you lettered in your sport. If you have questions, you can stop by the Annex.
