ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THURSDSY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2026       

ATHLETICS:  

·Tonight our Lady Cats volleyball team will play away at West Feliciana.  Good Luck Lady Cats!

·Start making plans to attend the varsity football game tomorrow night.  This is our "Bleacher Blast" Night ... all WHS students will get in free, but you must show your physical student ID ... the one you wear every day!  DURING THE 3RD QUARTER, we will have students "sign in" right in front of the student section to earn class points. Listen for the announcement to know when to sign in!   Don't forget, our game theme Friday night will be Super Heros. 

JUNIORS:

·Attention Juniors: The Junior Ring Ceremony will be on Thursday, Oct. 22nd. This weekend you will receive a link through ParentSquare where you can sign up to participate in the event.  This is a traditional ring ceremony.  No other commemorative items are accepted for presentation.  If you purchased your ring from a source other than Jostens, you can start turning in your rings to the Front Office on Monday. They will be safely stored until the night of the event.  All details about the Ring Ceremony will be sent out this weekend so be watching for it. 

STUDENTS:

·All students are invited to FCA sponsored "Pizza and Jesus" Bible studies every lunch shift on Mondays and Wednesdays. "Pizza and Jesus" is in the team room next to the fieldhouse. See you there!

·Tickets for the Homecoming Dance will go on sale tomorrow AFTER 3PM.  Be sure you have read and understand all the information regarding the purchase of tickets.  This information was given out during Advisory yesterday.  If you didn't get a copy, ask your teacher or pick up a copy from the Office or Annex. 

·Congratulations to Wildcat Theatre! Wildcat Theatre has been selected to showcase the Lightening Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical at the upcoming Louisiana Thespian Festival, held at Northwestern State University this February! Our students will have the exciting opportunity to perform a selection from Percy Jackson in front of theatre students and programs from schools across the state of Louisiana. This is an incredible opportunity for our Wildcat Theatre students to represent Walker High School on the state stage! Please join us in congratulations them and wishing our Wildcats good luck at Thespian Festival!
