ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THURSDAY, MAY 7, 2026      

ATHLETICS:  

• Congratulations to the Lady Cats Golf Team on a successful season. Not only did the team win several matches throughout the season, but the team also placed 3rd at the Baton Rouge Metro Tournament and Lady Cat, Evelynn, is the 2026 Baton Rouge Metro Champion. This week, Evelynn represented WHS and competed in the 2026 LHSAA Division 1 State Golf Tournament! Congratulations to Evelyn Arteita for finishing Runner-up Medalist at the Division I State Girls Golf Tournament.

• Today our Tennis team tryouts are from 3-4:45 to North Park Tennis Courts. You must bring a completed physical to tryout.

• Try-outs for the 2026-27 Girls Basketball Team will be held today from 3:30-5:00 in Wildcat Gymnasium. Anyone trying out must present an up-to-date LHSAA physical. This will be the only day for tryouts.
