ATHLETICS:  

  •  Today, our varsity baseball team will play away against Hahnville. They will start at 3:30pm. The JV team will play Central here at home starting at 6pm. 

  • Congratulations to the boy's golf team for finishing 2nd in their match at Clark Park. Creed Elledge finished as runner-up for medalist honors. 

 

CONGRATULATIONS:  

  Congratulations to Walker High DECA members for their accomplishments at the 2026 Louisiana DECA Career Development Conference! 

The Green and White Cookie Site earned a Gold Level Certification in Retail Operation for the 10th year in a row! WHS DECA received recognition for being the 3rd Largest DECA Chapter in Louisiana! 7 Students received Competency awards which is earned by scoring 70% or higher on their competition exam 

  • Victor Gomez was elected the Louisiana DECA State President for the 2026-2027 school year! 

  • Sa'Mya Jones 1st place in Sports and Entertainment Marketing & received the Murphy USA Scholarship!  

  • Shian Burt 2nd place in Sports and Entertainment Marketing   

  • Meah Tate and Bailey Boudreaux 2nd Place in Entrepreneurship Team Decision Making Event  

  • Tori Norman 2nd Place in Quick Service Restaurant Management  

  • Bailey Boudreaux 2nd Place in Customer Service 

  • Sa'Mya Jones and Shian Burt in 3rd place in Sports and Entertainment Marketing Team Decision Making Event 

  • Andie Sibley and Maggie Blackburn 3rd place in Travel and Tourism Team Decision Making Event  

  • Brielle Ausbon 3rd place in Food Marketing Service  

  • Creed Elledge & Hayden Matherne scored 1st place in the lip sync battle and Braelyn Brabham, Addi Owen, Shian Burt, Tori Norman & Jolie Wilson placed 2nd place in lip sync battle 

 

ALL STUDENTS:  

  •  This year we will be hosting a talent show, Walker's Got Talent, on Thursday, March 19th. We are so excited about doing this during the school day for everyone to enjoy! Audition packets are available at the Wildcat Window! Packets are due THIS FRIDAY! 

  • The Dollar General has let us know that any student parking in their parking lot will be towed at the owner’s expense.
