ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 30, 2026      

ATHLETICS:  

·If you are interested in joining the cross-country team, there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 5th, at 3pm on the track.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Bernard. 

·Anyone interested in trying out for the volleyball team must have an up to date physical. If you do not, you will not be able to tryout. If it expires soon, you may tryout but MUST attend the school physical day on May 6th. Tryouts are on Monday, May 4^th right after school, 2:30-4:30. See Coach Hebert in room 101 or Rivero in the gym for more information!

·Congratulations to the following track/field athletes that have qualified for State after yesterday's Regionals:

·Triple Jump - Kameron Rheams placed 2^nd and Kermit Jackson placed 3rd. 

·Pole Vault - Eli Hegwood placed 2nd, with a PR of 15’. Good luck to these 3 athletes when they compete at State.

·Attention Track & Field Athletes: If you have already signed up to attend the Black and Gold banquet, you can begin getting your tickets tomorrow from the Annex. 

ALL STUDENTS:  

·Wildcat Theater Club will hold a meeting in the theater room today after school. If you are a member of the theater club, please be present. 

·If you are attending the London and Paris Trip this Summer with Mr. Mozingo. There will be a meeting on Sunday, May 3^rd at 3pm in the theater room for information. Please see Mr. Mozingo in the theater room if you have any questions. 

·This week we have launched the new "Student L.E.A.D.E.R.S. Council" ... this is a student leadership organization for the 2026-2027 school year designed to give students a voice and create a positive environment in our school.  Applications and Information can be found at the Wildcat Window or Annex.  If you have any questions, stop by the Annex and see Mrs. Branch during your lunch shift or before/after school.  This is your opportunity to get involved!!!  Applications are due by Monday!!!

·Book club will meet in room 1006 before school this Friday, May 1. 

·Students, you have one last chance to order a letterman jacket for this school year... if you are eligible.  This includes athletes, MJROTC, and if you are part of a club that offers jacket eligibility.  The last order will be on Friday, May 15 during your lunch shift in the new gym lobby.  You can pick up an order form from the Annex.  All orders must be preapproved by your coach or sponsor. After this date, no more orders will be taken until August.
