ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MONDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2026
ATHLETICS:
·Congratulations to Wildcat swimmer Kylee Kahunahana for setting 4 personal records in 4 events Saturday at the Lutcher Open Swim Meet. Also, Congratulations to Addison Reeves who also had 3 PR’s in 4 events. Great job, Lady Cats.
·Tonight, our Lady Cats volleyball team will play here at home against Baton Rouge High. Freshmen start at 4pm, followed by JV and Varsity. Student tickets are $3, but you must bring your student ID. Come out and support your Lady Cats.
CONGRATULATIONS:
·The fishing team had their first tournament of the season Saturday out of Niblett's Bluff Park on the Sabine River. We had 9 teams that fished with 7 bringing fish to the scales. A special congratulations goes out to Caleb Beard & Kolten Miller for finishing 3rd, Landin Sholty & Reid Leonard for finishing 4th, and Drake Burchfield & Eli Britt for finishing 7th. All three teams earned their spots to compete in the State Championship in May! Walker also took home the 1st place award for Walker Fishing team also took home 1st place overall for the teams with the top 3 combined weight of 22.35 lbs.
JUNIORS:
Juniors, if you have not already done so, you must respond to the link sent in ParentSquare regarding the Ring Ceremony, even if you are not planning to participate!
SENIORS:
·We have received senior picture proofs for those seniors who took photos on the make-up day. You can pick up your proofs from the Annex during lunch or before/after school.
STUDENTS:
·Students, don't forget to purchase your Limited Time Homecoming Dance tickets by Wednesday. The price increases on Thursday. No tickets will be sold after Oct. 14th. Remember, all fees must be paid and you must be in good standing with Attendance and Discipline.
