ATHLETICS:  

  •  Congratulations to these Indoor Track Athletes: Eli Hegwood for his 3rd place finish and Nyla Riggins for her 3rd place finish at the high school qualifier this weekend. Also, congratulations to Ryleigh Hopkins for running an amazing race and getting a PR in the 800. 

  • Congratulations to Chris Godso III and Willow Dixon!  Both are State Championship Runner Ups!  Also, congratulations to Mackenzie Thomas for placing 3rd in the Wrestling State Championships. 

  • Today, our Baseball team kicks off their season with a pre-game Alumni Recognition and then our Varsity Wildcats will play West Feliciana starting at 6pm.  Good luck Wildcats! 

 

CONGRATULATIONS: 

  •  Congratulations to the Walker JROTC Raider Team for placing second overall at the Petal Raider Challenge this past weekend. Congratulations to the Walker JROTC Drill Teams for winning the Overall Championship at the Alexandria Senior High School Drill Meet this past weekend. The Armed Team was first overall in the armed division, and the Unarmed Team was second overall in the unarmed division. Outstanding job JROTC! 

 

FRESHMAN: 

  •  TODAY & TOMORROW we will be doing hearing and vision screen for all 9th grade students during 1st & 2nd blocks.  It is very important that you are screened. We will go in alpha order by last name. All teachers should have this alpha list. Please release the 9th grade students according to the schedule to report to the LIBRARY.  Students – make your way directly to the library and return to class immediately after your screening. 

  

ALL STUDENTS:  

  •  Want to boost your ACT score and strengthen your college applications—plus earn scholarship money? Join our ACT Bootcamp! You’ll learn proven tips and strategies for all sections of the ACT. The bootcamp runs after school Monday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3 from 2:45 to 4:45 PM. The deadline to sign up and pay is February 26. 

  • Students, prom is right around the corner … to attend prom you MUST have all your school fees and any outstanding library fees paid. Please take care of these items as soon as possible.  We will start clearing for Prom when we return from Mardi Gras break!  More information to come! 

  • Today is FCA sponsored "Pizza and Jesus” Join us on your lunch shift for Bible study.
