ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MONDAY, APRIL 27, 2026
ATHLETICS:
·Congratulations to Evelyn Artieta for being selected to the 2026 All-Metro Girls Golf Team!
·Congratulations to the baseball team for their series win over Live Oak. The Wildcats start their next playoff series on Friday against Sam Houston. Congratulations Wildcats!
CONGRATULATIONS:
·Congratulations to the MCJROTC Armed and Unarmed Drill Teams. Both teams competed in the All-Service Louisiana State Drill Meet this past weekend. Among 4 different branches of service, competing against 19 teams; Walker High School drill teams earned the distinction as the All-Service JROTC Louisiana State Drill Team Runner Up for 2026. Congratulations cadets on the job well done!
ALL STUDENTS:
·Wildcat Theater Club will hold a meeting in the theater room Wednesday, April 29th right after school. If you are a member of the theater club, please be present.
·If you are attending the London and Paris Trip this Summer with Mr. Mozingo. There will be a meeting on Sunday, May 3rd at 3pm in the theater room for information. Please see Mr. Mozingo in the theater room if you have any questions.
·Today, during 1st block we will be taking yearbook photos for Clubs/Groups. All teachers were sent a schedule of when these groups are to report to the gym. Students also have permission to wear their Club Shirts with uniform bottoms today. Students, if you are taking a photo, you should quickly make your way to and from the new gym.
·Attention All 9th-11th Grade Students: Have you ever wanted a voice in various activities around school? Have you ever wanted to be involved in school leadership? Now is your time! We are excited to launch the "Student L.E.A.D.E.R.S. Council" ... this is a new student leadership organization for the 2026-2027 school year designed to give students a voice and create a positive environment in our school. Members will be selected by classmates. Campaigning will begin on May 11th. If this is something that you want to be part of, pick up an Application and Information sheet from the Wildcat Window or Annex. If you have any questions, stop by the Annex and see Mrs. Branch during your lunch shift or before/after school. This is your opportunity to get involved!!!
