ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2026
ATHLETICS:
·Any student interested in being on the Tennis Team for the upcoming season, there will be a mandatory informational meeting right after school on Monday Sept. 14 in room 1108A till 3:30. Please see Coach V in room 1108A if you have any questions.
·Good luck to our Wildcats as they take on the Erath Bulldogs tonight. If you're going to the game, tickets are found through Erath High, but they also use i2Tickets.com and they will sell tickets at the gate. They do require Clear Bags. Safe travels to all planning to go to the game!
·Tomorrow, our Swim Team will participate in a swim meet at Crawfish Aquatics. Good luck, Wildcats.
·Our freshmen volleyball team will play Karr here tomorrow at 9am in Wildcat Gymnasium. Good luck, Lady Cats.
SENIORS:
·Senior portrait make-ups will be held on Saturday, September 19th, from 9am to 1pm in the Glenn Ellis Gym. There is a $35 sitting fee.
STUDENTS:
·Our next 4-H meeting will be held after school on Wednesday, September 16, in Room 1115. The meeting will last until 3:30 PM.
·Interested in SeaPerch Underwater ROV?
·Following the 4-H meeting, we will have a SeaPerch Underwater ROV Informational Meeting for anyone interested in learning more about joining the team.
·Good luck to the MCJROTC Raiders as they compete in their first competition of the year tomorrow at the Fontainebleau Raider Challenge.
·Theatre has a troupe meeting on September 14th after school, and it is mandatory.
ACT Regular Registration Reminder
·Today is the deadline to register for the October 17th ACT without paying late fees.
·Taking the ACT multiple times increases your chance of earning TOPs & other scholarships.
·The October test is also one of the three times a year you can order your answer key to understand your strengths and areas for improvement. WHS highly recommends ordering your answer key!
·In October, we are only offering the paper ACT. Online testing will be offered again in December 2026 and April 2027.
