Announcements for Friday, Feb. 13, 2026

ATHLETICS:  

 

  • Today, our boys’ basketball team will play Dutchtown here at home. Freshmen start at 5pm, followed by JV and Varsity. 

  • Our Lady Cats basketball team will play away at Dutchtown tonight. JV starts at 5:30, followed by Varsity. 

  • Our varsity baseball team will play St. Charles here at home today at 6pm. 

  • Our Lady Cats JV softball team will play their Jamboree today at Brusly. Tomorrow the varsity Lady Cats will play their Jamboree at Brusly. 

  • The Walker Fishing Team will have a fundraiser on Monday, Feb. 16th at Sombrero’s.  Mention their name when you dine in or carry out and a portion of the proceeds will go to our fishing team. 

 

ALL STUDENTS:  

 

  • Next week is the Mardi Gras Break.  There is no school Monday through Wednesday.  Classes will resume on Thursday.  Enjoy your break! 

  • Want to boost your ACT score and strengthen your college applications—plus earn scholarship money? Join our ACT Bootcamp! You’ll learn proven tips and strategies for all sections of the ACT. The bootcamp runs after school Monday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3 from 2:45 to 4:45 PM. The deadline to sign up and pay is February 26. 

  • Students, prom is right around the corner … to attend prom you MUST have all your school fees and any outstanding library fees paid. Please take care of these items as soon as possible.  We will start clearing for Prom when we return from Mardi Gras break!  More information to come! 

  • This year we will be hosting a talent show, Walker's Got Talent, on Thursday, March 19th. We are so excited about doing this during the school day for everyone to enjoy! Audition packets are available at the Wildcat Window! Packets are due THIS FRIDAY!  

  • Any student who has completed Carpentry 1 and 2 with Mr. Holland and is interested in the ABC Pelican Chapter or FFA Area IV Carpentry competitions should see Mr. Holland this week in room 5003. Practices begin the week of February 16—Stop by the ag building to pick up plans and start design work.   

  • Wildcat Theatre is proud to present our upcoming production of Into the Woods, running March 5–7 at Serenity Events Center in Denham Springs. Tickets are $6 for students and children and $12 for adults. A special Dinner Theatre performance is also available for $40 per person. Tickets can be purchased online at i2tickets.com or at the door. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Mozingo in the theatre room.
