ATHLETICS:
· Congrats to the Lady Cat Golf Team for their 5th place finish at Regionals and to freshman Evelynn Artieta for her 2nd place overall finish qualifying her for the state tournament in Lafayette next week!
· The Wildcat baseball team will play in Round 2 of the playoffs tomorrow. They will start at 6pm on Thursday AT Sam Houston.
· Letterman jackets and patches will be ordered tomorrow during all lunch shifts in the new gym lobby. Don’t forget all order forms must be signed by your coach or teacher sponsor showing that it is pre-approved.
· Best of luck to: Viviana Vasquez, Elyza Boo and Morgan Duncan. These Lady Cats will be participating in the State Tennis Tournament in Monroe starting on Thursday.
· Good luck to our JROTC Raiders as they compete in the Marine Corps National Raider Championships this weekend in Pennsylvania!
ALL STUDENTS:
· Students, just a reminder that on Friday there is no school for Walker High Students as we host 4-H Achievement Day. This is for Walker High Students only. All other schools in the parish will still be in session.
· The Walker High Branch of Neighbor's Federal Credit Union is looking for 2 student workers for next school year! This is a PAID position! If you will be a senior next school year & can be a co-op student, please see Mrs. Seguin in room 1014 to pick up a packet.
· Today there will be a recruiter here the US Coast Guard during all lunch shifts in the cafeteria. Stop by to find out more about the US Coast Guard.
· Don’t forget our theater department is presenting “The Butler Did It” starting with the first performance tonight. Tickets can be purchased through i2Tickets.com.
SENIORS:
· Congratulations Seniors… Your senior clearance begins today and the Senior Breakfast will be tomorrow morning where you will be treated to breakfast and receive your caps and gowns. Tomorrow morning, we will announce when you are to report to the cafeteria. You must be in school uniform to attend the breakfast.
· If you would like your scholarship recognized at Senior Awards, please turn in a copy of the scholarship to your counselor by Friday, May 3rd, 2024.
· If you would like to be recognized at Graduation, please turn in a copy of any scholarship from a college, community college, or technical school to your counselor by Friday May 3rd, 2024.
· If you are enlisting in any branch of the military and would like to be recognized at Graduation, please turn in a copy of enlistment paperwork to your counselor or have your recruiter email your counselor with the information.
