ATHLETICS:
· Congratulations to the boys’ basket team for their win over Mandeville last night. They will play again at home on Friday in the Quarterfinals of the Playoffs.
· Today, the tennis team will play Ascension Christian at Independence Park.
· The freshman baseball team will play a double-header today against Parkview. The first game starts at 4pm.
· Tomorrow, our Lady Cats basketball team will play at 8:00 p.m. against Ponchatoula in the Semifinals in Hammond. Tickets are $18 cash. Come out to Hammond and support your Lady Cats on Thursday!!!
Any girls interested in playing soccer need to see Coach Brenna in PJs during your lunch shift for a packet.
· Congratulations to Molly Stevens for being selected to the Division 1 District 6 First Team All-District Soccer Team and to Catherine Beckman and Piper Wascom for being selected to the Division 1 District 6 Second Team All-District Soccer Team.
ALL STUDENTS:
· Math tutoring on Thursday afternoon this week with Mrs. Albright has been cancelled. All other tutoring is still going on. Be sure to check the calendar of events on the app for tutoring opportunities.
· PJS is having a free coffee giveaway this week, visit the PJS during your lunch shift to find out how you can win!
· ACT Bootcamp on Thursday will be held in rooms 1105 and 1106 from 2:45 - 4:45 pm.
· The deadline to sign up for April 15th ACT is approaching. If you are interested in taking this ACT you must sign up by March 10th at ACT.ORG.
· Students, don't forget that Online Scheduling is available through Wednesday, March 8th. All documents must be returned by Thursday, March 9th. Remember:
- After completing your online registration, print a copy of your final course selections and the student and guardian must sign and date the page.
- The student & guardian must initial & date the Individual Graduation Plan (IGP).
- Both pages (Course Requests & IGP) must be returned to the Guidance office by March 9th.
- If scheduling an AP course, turn in the signed application with your other paperwork.
Friday, March 3 is Fundraiser Friday for the Chick Fil A Leaders. Cost is $2. Students should pay their first block teachers. All casual dress should adhere to casual dress guidelines. NO crop tops, leggings, or sleeveless shirts. Any holes in jeans should NOT be above the knee.·
Cheer tryouts will be on March 17th. Packets are available outside the Wildcat Window.
· Golden Wildcats Dance Team Tryout Packets are available at the Wildcat Window! Packets are due Friday, March 10th and tryouts are Thursday, March 23rd.
· This week is FFA week. Today, more than 500,000 FFA members from all 50 states including Alaska, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. These students are engaged in a wide range of agriculture educational activities. Remember to look for the emblems hidden on campus. If you find the cow emblem and FFA emblem, bring it to the Ag building, room 5004 to get your prize! There is no Ag Olympic Activity today. Our Ag department is hosting a statewide mechanic invitational competition today for Louisiana FFA members.
SOPHOMORES:
· Sophomores, you can continue to order your rings online at Jostens.com. You can purchase your ring from anywhere, but remember, it must be a class ring. The ring ceremony will take place in October.
SENIORS:
· Seniors that are interested in working the Neighbor's Federal Credit Union for the 23-24 school year can pick up an application outside room 1014. This internship is open to seniors only and is a paid position. Applications are due March 10th.
