Announcements for Wednesday, April 17, 2024


·         Congratulations to Evelynn Artieta and the girls golf team who made school history yesterday at Beaver Creek. Evelynn tallied a 65 (7 under-par) to be the first female golfer at Walker High to take home a Metro Championship. The girls tennis team advances to regionals next week.

·         Congratulations to Morgan Duncan from the Walker High tennis team. Morgan is the Division 1 Region 3 Girls Singles Champion.

·         Congratulations to both of these Lady Cats!

·         The baseball team will be playing in the first round of the playoffs on Friday. Start making plans to come out and support your Wildcats Friday night!

·         The next time to order letterman jackets and patches will be on Thursday, April 25th. Don’t forget all order forms must be pre-approved by your coach or teacher sponsor.

·         Neighbor's is looking for 2 student workers for the bank next school year. If you're interested, please see Mrs. Seguin in room 1014. 

·         WHS will host STEAM for the Earth this Saturday beginning at 8am in the new gym. It is free and open to the public. See Mrs. Wagner for more details. 

·         Today there is no LEAP tutoring, but tomorrow there is Geometry and Algebra tutoring immediately after school.

·         The ASL teacher and students would like to thank all of the faculty staff and students who helped make National ASL Day a success! We would like to give a special "Thank You!" to Mr. Hilbun and LaRhiana who worked behind the scenes to make sure the broadcast went on without a hitch.  We hope you all enjoyed the videos and are inspired to learn more about American Sign Language and Deaf culture.
