Announcements for Tuesday, September 5, 2023

ATHLETICS:

· Tonight, the freshmen and JV football teams will play their first game at home against Hammond. Freshmen start at 5:30pm, followed by JV.

· Our Lady Cats volleyball team will play Thibodaux at home today. Freshmen at 4:30, followed by JV and Varsity.

· Anyone interested in being part of the tennis team needs to pick up a packet from the Annex. This includes new students and those who were on the team last year. The deadline to turn in packets is September 20th. There will be an informational meeting Wednesday immediately after school in room T-124.

· Anyone interested in wrestling, see Coach Godso in room 102 during lunch. There will be a parent meeting Thursday, September 7 at 6:00 in the old gym.

ALL STUDENTS:

· Walker High is starting a HOSA chapter for future healthcare leaders. There will be a HOSA informational meeting this Wednesday after school in room 1115.

· On Thursday, a Mississippi College recruiter will be in the front of the cafeteria to answer questions and give students information about Mississippi College. He will be located inside the cafeteria during all 3 lunch shifts.

· The grade and attendance cutoff for this first interim is Friday, September 8th. Make sure you get all excuses in and make-up work completed!

SENIORS:

· Seniors, senior portrait proofs need to be picked from the annex during your lunch or before/after school. The make-up day for senior portraits is Saturday, September 16, 9-12 in the cafeteria.
