Announcements for Thursday, August 31, 2023

ATHLETICS:

· Congratulations to the Lady Cats volleyball team for their win over Ascension Christian. The Lady Cats are back in action on Friday at Woodlawn.

· The Varsity football team plays their first regular season game on Friday at Ponchatoula. The game starts at 7pm. Tickets must be purchased through Ponchatoula. Start making plans to come out and support your Wildcats in their season opener!

· Our Esports Wildcats will be hosting tryouts today, after school for the upcoming 2023-24 Season. Tryouts will be held in Room 409, (upstairs of the Glenn Ellis Gym). Competing games will be Halo: Infinite, Madden ‘24, NBA 2K24, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Valorant. For more info, contact Coach Price.

· Anyone interested in being part of the tennis team needs to pick up a packet from the Annex. This includes new students and those who were on the team last year. The deadline to turn in packets is September 20th. There will be an informational meeting on September 6, 2023 immediately after school in room T-124.

· Anyone interested in wrestling, see Coach Godso in room 102 during lunch. There will be a parent meeting next Thursday, September 7 at 6:00 in the old gym.

ALL STUDENTS:

· Students can join Art Club by signing up on Google classroom with code wflmilv. The first Art Club meeting will be next Tuesday, September 5th after school from 2:30-3:30pm in Mrs. Berthelot’s classroom, room 407.

- Students, you are reminded that if you drive to school you MUST have a parking pass. We are checking the lots. It is imperative that you take care of this before next Tuesday.

SENIORS:

· Seniors, if you took senior portraits during the summer please pick up your proofs from the annex during your lunch or before/after school. The make-up day for senior portraits is Saturday, September 16, 9-12 in the cafeteria.
