Announcements for Thursday, August 17, 2023

ATHLETICS:

· Tonight, the football team will scrimmage Slidell here at home. The game starts at 6pm. The cost is $6. No cash taken at the gate.

· The Walker High football team is currently seeking student managers to assist with practice and game day operations. Any interested student should contact one of the football coaches during your lunch period.

· We will be having mascot tryouts next week. If you are interested in trying out, pick up a packet by the Wildcat Window between now and Friday. Packets are due Monday, August 21st.

· Any boys that are interested in playing golf need to sign up in the Annex by the end of the week. If you picked up a packet, but didn’t put your name on the sign-up please come back to the annex and sign the paper during your lunch.

ALL STUDENTS:

· No ID pictures will be taken today. All seniors and anyone else that did not take a picture this week will be done Friday morning.

· The Green and White Cookie site is now open for students before school and during their lunch shifts. Students or parents can also place apparel and cookie orders online at www.greenandwhitecookiesite.com. Orders must be placed before 11 AM for same day delivery. The store hours are 7 AM to 1 PM each day that school is in session.

· Any students who are interested in being a student custodian should sign-up at the annex during your lunch break. Hours are 2:30-4:30, Monday through Friday. This is a paid position.

· Next week we will begin checking parking tags. If you are driving to school, you must have your parking tag hanging from your rearview mirror so that we can see the color & tag number. It is a 3-step process: Fill out the online application and pay online, then pick-up the tag from the Annex.

SENIORS:

· Seniors, if you did not receive your senior portrait proofs, please check at the Annex during your lunch.
