ATHLETICS:
Today, our track & field team will be competing at Regionals. Good luck Wildcats!!!

1st Team All-District: Cameron Washington
Congratulations to Seth LeBlanc for making the All-Academic team of scholar-athletes. And, congratulations to the rest of the tennis team for a very successful season.
Tomorrow, letterman jacket orders will be taken in the new gym lobby during all lunch shifts. This is the last letterman jacket order until the fall. You can pick up an order form from your coach, sponsor, or the annex.
STUDENTS:
Tonight the Walker High Golden Choir will present "Broadway." All are invited to attend. It will be held in the Walk-ons Conference Center. Doors will open at 5:15pm and the presentation will be at 6pm. Admission is free.
Today, the following FFA students will be in Ruston interviewing for a State FFA award. Good luck to: Molly Britt, Natalie Gallman, Jon Hollier, Lauren Miller, Caden Rios, Cameryn Sibley and Emily Tucker.
Tomorrow, our Band of Legacy will be traveling to Dallas to perform in the Meyerson Symphony Center! We know you will be great!!!
Students who have achieved perfect attendance… there is a list is posted at the wildcat window and the annex of those achieving perfect attendance this year. Check to make sure your name is listed and the number of years is correct.
FCA is collecting shoes to send to Haiti. Clean out your closets and bring your new or gently worn shoes and they will be sent to Haiti and other poor and developing nations to help resale and give to those in need. We will be collecting shoes until May 15. They can be dropped off in the bin in Mrs. Yglesias's room, 1119.
SOPHOMORES/JUNIORS:
·Any Sophomore or Junior interested in taking FireFighter, Veterinarian Assistant, or Real Estate and any students interested in working in the PJ's Coffee Class next school year need to complete and submit the form under Student Opportunities on the WHS webpage or WHS app. Deadline is Friday, May 5, 2023.
SOPHOMORES:
Sophomores, on Wednesday, May 3rd, Jostens will be set up in the new gym lobby during all lunch shifts to take Junior Ring orders and payments.
SENIOR REMINDERS:
Seniors, today you will receive your clearance sheet. Clearance sheets let you know if you owe fees, forms, etc. before graduation. Please read and follow ALL directions on the clearance sheet.
Senior Breakfast is tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. in cafeteria. Report to 1st block first and then an announcement will be made for you to report to cafeteria.
Caps and gowns will be delivered at the senior breakfast to those with a zero balance. The last day to order cap and gown is TOMORROW!
The baccalaureate is Monday, May 1st at Walker Baptist Church, 6 p.m. Line-up is at 5:30pm in church-appropriate clothing under your cap and gown.
There are several elementary and middle schools that will be doing Senior Walks. Check out social media and school websites for more information.
DEADLINES: We have several deadlines approaching. Check the Walker High app and announcements for more details about these deadlines.
The Senior cutoff for getting attendance excuses in is Monday, May 1st.
Cat Dash 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run registration due by May 1st to get a free event shirt.
Recognition ads for the yearbook due May 8th.
Deadline to purchase your 2022-2023 yearbook is May 8th.
