Announcements for Thursday, April 24, 2025

ATHLETICS:

  • Congratulations to the Lady Cat Golf Team for their 3rd place team finish in the Metro Golf Championships. Congratulations to Lady Cat Evelynn Artieta, who also captured the 3rd place spot as an individual golfer. The Lady Cats will be back in action next Tuesday for the LHSAA Regional Golf Tournament.

  • Today, our baseball team will play at Northshore in the 2nd round of the playoffs.  Best of luck to our Wildcats!

  • The 4-5A District Track Meet is scheduled today at Live Oak, pending the weather.  More details will be coming!!!

  • On Friday, our athletic letterman jacket vendor will be here to take orders during all 3 lunch shifts for Athletic Letterman Jackets & Patches.  All order forms must be signed and pre-approved by your sponsor or coach. Order forms can be picked up from the Annex.

·         Walker High School's Boys Soccer Team will be having tryouts May 7th and 9th from 6-7:30 at the stadium. Any students interested in trying out can come pick up a new/returning athlete packet as well as a flyer from the annex. 


ALL STUDENTS:

·         FCA invites everyone to our “Fields of Faith” event next Wednesday night, April 30th, in Wildcat Gymnasium!  Pizza will be served at 6pm, service will be from 6:30-7:30pm. We will have games, worship and a message. See you there!

·         The Sports Medicine Team is looking for students wanting to get involved after school.  Learn what it’s like to work in the Sports Medicine Field and gain skills in first aid, emergency treatment, hydration, rehab and more all while being up close to the action on the sidelines!  Anyone interested should talk to our Athletic Trainer, Ryan Holmes, in the field house during your lunch or after school! 

·         Our theater department’s “The Great Gatsby” production begins today. You can get tickets online at i2Tickets.com.


SENIORS:

·         Seniors, Friday, April 25 is senior breakfast. On Friday, please report to 1st block so your teachers can take attendance. At 7:30 a.m. you may report to cafeteria for breakfast. All seniors (even mid-year graduates) must be in school uniform or have free dress button pinned to shirt to attend. Senior breakfast is for seniors only; no parents or guests are allowed to attend. 

·         Seniors will also be able to pick up caps and gowns if the account with Herff Jones has been paid in full. Seniors will not have white or gold stole with cap and gowns, those are not given out until all grades are finalized. Any senior that cannot pickup their cap and gown on Friday, April 25 can pick it up from main office beginning Monday, April 28. 

·         Yesterday, Senior Clearance Sheets were distributed. Be sure to READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS so that you know where you must clear and how to clear.  If you owe fees it will be indicated on the Clearance Sheet.  All fees and obligations must be taken care of before you can clear!
