ATHLETICS:

· Congratulations to the Wildcats varsity football team for their win over Kentwood Friday night. This week they play on Thursday night against Belaire in our homecoming game. Tonight, the freshmen and JV teams will play at Woodlawn. Freshman start at 5:30pm, followed by JV.

DAILY THEMES FOR HOCO WEEK: TOMORROW (TUESDAY) Dress as Barbie or Ken.

o WEDNESDAY: Dress in camo

o THURSDAY: Dress in your class colors (Freshman-Black, Sophomores-White, Juniors-Green, Seniors-Gold)

o FRIDAY: Dress as BBQ Dads vs. Soccer Moms

THURSDAY – HOMECOMING GAME at 7pm

FRIDAY – HOMECOMING PARADE at 5pm

SATURDAY – HOMECOMING DANCE, 8-11pm

· Homecoming tickets are on sale through: i2Tickets.com for $20 each. The last day to purchase tickets is Wednesday. Students are permitted one guest. There is a Student Ticket and a Guest Ticket. Guest tickets are for GUESTS THAT DO NOT ATTEND WALKER HIGH. Names will be printed on the tickets and we will check tickets and IDs at the door. They must match! No Junior High students are permitted as guests.

· Students, we are offering an ACT Bootcamp that will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, October 24 & 25, from 2:45-4:45pm. The cost is $42. The deadline to pay and sign up is Friday, October 20th. You can pay online through the school payment system.

· “See you at the pole" is a nationwide event where students gather at the flagpole to pray. On Wednesday morning at 7am at the flagpole across from the cafeteria, all Walker High students are invited to join in prayer. See you Wednesday morning!

· This week we will have several recruiters on campus. Be sure to stop by during lunch to request information about their respective colleges. Today, we will have Centenary College. Be sure to stop by their table during your lunch to get more information abut Centenary College.
