ATHLETICS:
· Congratulations to our Wildcats for their 41-16 win over Live Oak. This week is another important district game at St. Amant. Start making plans to go to “the pit” Friday night and cheer on your Wildcats!!!
· Tonight, the Lady Cats volleyball team will play away at Scholastica Academy at 5pm.
· Congratulations to Walker Golfer Evelynn Artieta. Evelynn is headed to Augusta to compete in the National Drive, Chip, Putt Championship after securing the state and regional title. You can see Evelynn in action with the Lady Cat Golf Team November 27 at OakBourne Country Club in Lafayette.
· Congratulations to five members of the Wildcat Swim Team. They will be honored at this weekend’s annual City Meet for being named to the league All-Academic Team: Elena Gruwell, Laney Graves, Addy Kelly, Kelei Romero and Nathan Ray will be recognized Saturday.
CONGRATULATIONS:
· Congratulations to the Band of Legacy on their performance at the Dutchtown Marching Festival on Saturday! The Band, Colorguard, and Drumline all got superior ratings on their performance. They also got 2nd place overall out of 15 bands in attendance. We are so proud of you!
ALL STUDENTS:
· This Friday, October 27 is Fundraiser Friday for WHS Theater. The cost is $2. Students should pay their first block teacher. Casual dress must meet casual dress guidelines. Only blue jean bottoms without holes or school pants are allowed. Shirts must be full length and have sleeves.
· Attention, any HOSA members that haven't paid their membership fee must pay by this Friday.
JUNIORS:
· Jostens will be here Wednesday, October 25 for ring sizing or any other issues or payments. They will be set up in the new gym lobby during all 3 lunch shifts
SENIORS:
· Herff Jones will be here TOMORROW taking senior orders. They will be set up in the new gym lobby during all 3 lunch shifts. Any student wanting to participate in the graduation ceremony must purchase a cap and gown from Herff Jones.
