ATHLETICS:
· Today, the freshmen baseball team will play at Albany at 5pm.
· The tennis team will play East Ascension today at Independence Park.
ALL STUDENTS:
· Today is yearbook picture day for our clubs and organizations. Teachers have been sent a list of the groups and a schedule of what time each group will go to the new gym. This includes all 1st & 2nd semester students that were part of the following groups:
o DECA, MCJROTC Drill, Raider & Rifle Teams, Key Club, BETA, HOSA, SGA, boys’ basketball, FCA, Yearbook Staff, Choir, Theater, Art Club, SADD, Digital Media, Robotics, Office/Library Workers and Wildcat Explorers.
· Tomorrow is the State ACT Test & Pre-Test Day. If you have any testing questions, please ask your teacher!
· The grade and attendance cutoff for this interim is Wednesday, March 12th. Make sure you get in your excuses and make-up work by Wednesday!
· Students & Teachers: Our theater department will be presenting the musical “School House Rock” March 20th-22nd. Tickets are now on sale at i2Tickets.com.
· Anyone interested in participating in macho man volleyball tournament….. you only have 2 weeks left to pick up a form from either the annex, Coach Hebert in 106, or a volleyball player. Those who have already turned in forms, you can pay online by the end of the week. Remember, registration, form, and payments are all due March 21st (next Friday). You can turn in forms to Coach Hebert in 106, Coach Rivero in 207, or a volleyball player.
· Prom News:
o Limited Time Prom Tickets are on sale through March 19th for $25 through the school online payment system. After March 19th the ticket price increases to $30. Every Walker student must purchase his/her own ticket! Only those that purchase tickets by March 19th are eligible for Prom Queen & King. But, you can’t even get a ticket unless your Clearance Request is Cleared!
o Every student at Walker must do a prom clearance request. This is an online request and takes about 2 minutes. You will receive an email back, letting you know whether or not you are cleared! Fees must be paid or your ticket will not be released. In some cases, students have purchased a prom ticket but it will NOT BE RELEASED because you owe fees. Be sure to check your email!
o If you have questions, you can check at the annex during your lunch, but not during class time.
