ATHLETICS:
· Congratulations to the Lady Cats for their win over Scotlandville last night. The Lady Cats are back in action this weekend. The varsity will play in the Westgate Tournament and the JV will play in the Sacred Heart tournament.
· Tonight, our Wildcats will play Kentwood here at home. You are reminded of the stadium rules… no outside food / drinks, no backpacks, no baby power, no noise makers which includes microphones, megaphones & boom boxes, no loitering around the stadium and the restrooms, and shirts must be worn. Presale tickets are $10 prior to 6pm through i2Tickets.com. After 6pm, they go up to $12.
ALL STUDENTS:
· Homecoming tickets are on sale through: i2Tickets.com for $20 each. The last day to purchase tickets is Wednesday, Sept. 27th!!! Students are permitted one guest. There is a Student Ticket and a Guest Ticket. Guest tickets are for GUESTS THAT DO NOT ATTEND WALKER HIGH. Names will be printed on the tickets and we will check tickets and IDs at the door. They must match! No Junior High students are permitted as guests.
· Today is the deadline to sign up for the October 28th ACT. You can sign up at ACT.org.
· Students, we are offering an ACT Bootcamp that will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, October 24 & 25, from 2:45-4:45pm. The cost is $42. The deadline to pay and sign up is Friday, October 20th. You can pay online through the school payment system.
· “See you at the pole" is a nationwide event where students gather at the flagpole to pray. On Wednesday morning at 7am at the flagpole across from the cafeteria, all Walker High students are invited to join in prayer. See you Wednesday morning!
· Next week we will have several recruiters on campus. Be sure to stop by during lunch to request information about their respective colleges.
