Announcements for Friday, September 1, 2023
ATHLETICS:
· Tonight, the Varsity football team plays their first regular season game AT Ponchatoula. The game starts at 7pm. If you plan to attend the game you need to know this information: Tickets are $10 and you can purchase at the gate, but they ONLY accept credit cards. They are cashless! They DO NOT PERMIT any backpacks and they have a “clear bag” policy for purses or other bags. They do not permit noise makers or powder and all guests and bags are subject to a search. We hope to see you there to support your Wildcats in their season opener!
· Our Varsity Lady Cats volleyball team will be in a tournament today and tomorrow at Woodlawn. Good Luck Lady Cats!
· The cross-country team will be competing in St. Michael’s meet at Highland Road Park on Saturday. Good luck to the cross-country team!
· Anyone interested in being part of the tennis team needs to pick up a packet from the Annex. This includes new students and those who were on the team last year. The deadline to turn in packets is September 20th. There will be an informational meeting next Wednesday, September 6, 2023 immediately after school in room T-124.
· Anyone interested in wrestling, see Coach Godso in room 102 during lunch. There will be a parent meeting next Thursday, September 7 at 6:00 in the old gym.
ALL STUDENTS:
· Students, you are reminded that Monday is a holiday for Labor Day so you have a 3-day weekend. You will return to school on Tuesday, September 5th.
· You can join Art Club by signing up on Google classroom with code wflmilv. The first Art Club meeting will be next Tuesday, September 5th after school from 2:30-3:30pm in Mrs. Berthelot’s classroom, room 407.
· If you drive to school and do not have a tag yet, it is imperative that you have one for Tuesday.
· The grade and attendance cutoff for this first interim is next Friday, September 8th. Make sure you get excuses in and make-up work completed!
SENIORS:
· Seniors, if you took senior portraits during the summer you need to pick up your proofs from the annex during your lunch or before/after school. The make-up day for senior portraits is Saturday, September 16, 9-12 in the cafeteria.
