Announcements for Friday, May 5, 2023

ATHLETICS:

· We have several athletic team tryouts coming up. You must have a current physical to tryout. Physical forms can be uploaded from the Walker High website under Athletics.

o Volleyball tryouts will begin on Monday, May 8th at 3:30pm in the Glenn Ellis Gym.

o Girls soccer tryouts will be Saturday, May 13th at noon in Wildcat Stadium.

o Softball tryouts will be May 15 & 16, 3:30-5:30 at the softball field.

· If you are interested in joining the cross-country team for next year, please pick up a sign-up packet from Coach Edwards in T-building 414 on May 8th and 9th during your lunch shift.

· Anyone wanting to wrestle next year needs to see Coach Godso in room 102.

ALL STUDENTS:

· Early check out forms for grades 9-11 are due to your first block teacher Today!!!

DEADLINES: We have several deadlines approaching. Check the Walker High app and announcements for more details about these deadlines.

· Friday is the last day for Sophomores and Juniors to sign up for Fire Fighter, Veterinarian Assistant or Real Estate classes!

· The Senior cutoff for grades and late work is Monday, May 8th.

· The cutoff date for grades 9-11 for attendance excuses is Monday, May 8th and for grades and late work is Monday, May 15th.

· Recognition ads for the yearbook due May 8th.

· Deadline to purchase your 2022-2023 yearbook is May 8th.

· Deadline to turn in new or gently worn shoes for the FCA collection is May 15th to room 1119.
