ATHLETICS:
The Lady Cats softball team will play John Curtis today at home at 4pm.
The Freshman baseball team plays in a freshman tournament at home. Today, they play at 6:30pm against St. Michael. Tomorrow they play at 10am against St. Thomas Aquinas and 7pm against Terrebonne.
JV baseball team begins play in a tournament at Denham Springs. Today they play at 4pm against Live Oak. Tomorrow they play at noon against Catholic and at 6pm against Denham Springs.
The varsity baseball team is in a tournament in Biloxi. Today they are playing Petal High at 5pm and Biloxi at 7:30m. Tomorrow they play McGill High at 12:30pm.
The bass fishing team is at Caney Lake this weekend.

A letterman jacket shipment was received last Wednesday. If you haven’t received your jacket yet, please check at the Annex. Another shipment should be coming soon for those that are still waiting.
Congratulations to Charlton McMorris for being selected to the Advocate All Metro Baton Rouge boys’ soccer team! Charlton was also selected as the Defensive MVP.
Congratulations to Maddie Vulgamore. She placed 9th in the Modified Fita Open Compound Archery at Regions. This placement earned her a spot to compete at the state level.
We will be having a Walker Community 1 Mile Fun Run and a 5K Cat Dash sponsored by our Cross-Country team. See Ms. Davenport for more information on how to sign up.
ALL STUDENTS:
Tonight, there will be a band concert in the new gym at 7pm. Please come out to support our band and listen to the great music they will perform.
Grade Level Superlative Voting (class favorites) ends today at 2:30 p.m.
If you are interested in joining the Walker High School Chick-fil-A Leader Academy for the 2023-24 school year, and are a current SOPHOMORE OR JUNIOR, please apply now! Applications are available at the Wildcat Window, the annex, and in room 404. Applications are due Thursday, March 30, to Ms. Achord.
The Louisiana Legislative Youth Advisory Council is accepting applications for membership from high school students who have an interest in representing the voices of young people around the state. Applicants must be between the ages of 14 and 15. The deadline to apply is March 24th. Find the link for more information and the application on the school App under “Opportunities.”
JUNIORS:
Any current Juniors interested in the FireFighter course for next school year should pick up an application from guidance. All applications are due to the Guidance Office on Wednesday, March 23, 2023.
JUNIORS/SENIORS:
The Senior/Junior Prom is quickly approaching. Tickets are $15 each and are now on sale at: walkerhigh.org. The deadline to purchase tickets is next Tuesday, March 21st.
Prom shirts are available for purchase on walkerhigh.org. The deadline to purchase shirts is Sunday, March 19 at midnight. Cost is $15 for sizes small-Xlarge. 2Xl-4Xl are $18.
SENIORS:
Seniors, the deadline to submit your quotes is April 14th.
