ATHLETICS:

  • Congratulations to the boys’ basketball team for a very successful season.

  • Congratulations to the girls’ tennis team for their 4-0 win over Riverside.

  • Congratulations to our Track & Field Team. Out of 17 teams our boys placed 2nd overall and our girls placed 6th. Jaden Bardales won outstanding Track Athlete, placing 1st in the 100 and the 200. Trinity Thomas placed 1st in the High Jump. Grace Ross and Caitlyn Morgan placed 1st and 2nd in Pole Vault. Avery Guidry placed 4th in the 4x800, 3rd in the 4x200 and 1st in the 4x100. Peyton Levy placed 3rd in the 1600. Carson Boyer placed 5th in the 800. Jamari Evans placed 3rd in the 400. Jacob Kennedy placed 1st in the 3200. Several athletes broke their personal records. Congratulations Track and Field!

  • Today, the Lady Cats softball team will start play in the Dutchtown Tournament.

  • The freshman baseball team will play in the Denham Springs tournament. They play Central at 4pm today and tomorrow they play Denham Springs at 10 am and Catholic at noon.

  • The JV baseball team continues play tomorrow in the JV tournament at home at 9:30 am against St. Thomas Aquinas and 6:30pm against Jesuit.

  • The Varsity baseball team will continue in the Franklinton tournament. They play Franklinton at 6:30pm today and North Lake Christian in Pine at 12:30pm tomorrow.

  • Any student interested in being a football manager needs to contact any of the football coaches to sign up.

CONGRATULATIONS:

  • Congratulations to Trevor Myers and Laken Comeaux for placing 1st and Hayden Brown and Logan Krumholt for placing 4th at the Parish Welding Contest yesterday. They advance to the District contest next week in Independence.

ALL STUDENTS:

  • Attention those trying out for Golden Wildcats, the Dance Team Tryout Packet is due today!

  • Students, don't forget that Online Scheduling deadline is Monday, March 13th.

  • Today is the deadline to sign up for the April 15th ACT. You can sign up at ACT.ORG.

FRESHMEN:

  • Today, we finish up the vision and hearing tests for our 9th grade students. It is very important that you report to the Papa John’s at your appointed time. If you missed your vision / hearing screening on Wednesday or Thursday please come to one of the sessions this morning.

JUNIORS:

  • Any current Juniors interested in the FireFighter course for next school year should pick up an application from guidance. All applications are due to the Guidance Office on Wednesday, March 23, 2023.

JUNIORS/SENIORS:

  • The Senior/Junior Prom will be on Saturday, March 25th. Tickets are $15 each and are now on sale at: walkerhigh.org. If you did not get an information sheet during homeroom you can pick one up from the wildcat window or the annex.
