REMINDER: Today is Homeroom Day. After 1st block you will report to your Homeroom. Attendance will be taken!

ATHLETICS:

·         Today, our baseball team plays at Northshore in the 2nd round of the playoffs.  Best of luck to our Wildcats!

·         Our Lady Cats softball team will play at Benton this evening at 5pm in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. Good luck Lady Cats.

·         Congratulations to our track & field team for their successful district meet yesterday. The boys finished in 2nd place overall.  All of the following winners have qualified for Regionals.

o   100 Meters – 2nd place Nyla Riggins

o   200 Meters – 3rd place Jacob Mackey and 2nd place Nyla Riggins

o   400 Meters – 1st place Allyn Weathersby

o   800 Meters – 2nd place Candilynn Vega and she also broke a school record in this event.

o   1600 Meters – 1st place Peyton Levy

o   3200 Meters – 1st place Peyton Levy

o   4x100 Relay – 3rd place Jonathan Musso, Jacob Mackey, Jamarcus Neyland, CadeMichael Ard and Cayden Jones

o   4x200 Relay – 1st place CadeMichael Ard, Jamarcus Neyland, Allyn Weathersby, Jacob Mackey and Jonathan Musso

o   4x400 Relay – 4th place – Candilynn Vega, Chloe Norman, Summer Bell & Isabella McKeithen

o   Shot Put – 4th place – Bryson Thomas and 3rd place Peyton Childress

o   Discus – 2nd place Bryson Thomas

o   Javelin – 1st place Peyton Childress and 2nd place Troy Sylve

o   High Jump - 1st place Logan Cookmeyer and 1st place Cayden Jones

o   Pole Jump – 1st place Eli Hegwood; 2nd place Rhoby Graham and 2nd place Grace Ross

o   Triple Jump – 2nd place Kameron Rheams and 4th place Logan Cookmeyer

• TODAY, our athletic letterman jacket vendor will be here to take orders during all 3 lunch shifts for Athletic Letterman Jackets & Patches.  All order forms must be signed and pre-approved by your sponsor or coach. Order forms can be picked up from the Annex.

• ·Walker High School's Boys Soccer Team will be having tryouts May 7th and 9th from 6-7:30 at the stadium. Any students interested in trying out can come pick up a new/returning athlete packet as well as a flyer from the annex. 

• Any girl interested in trying out for the Walker High volleyball team needs to pick up a tryout packet in the annex today during your lunch shift.

CONGRATULATIONS:

·         Congratulations to Peyton Lashua for placing FIRST in Psychology at the Louisiana State Literary Rally! Great job, Peyton!

ALL STUDENTS:

·         FCA invites everyone to our “Fields of Faith” event next Wednesday night, April 30th, in Wildcat Gymnasium!  Pizza will be served at 6pm, service will be from 6:30-7:30pm. We will have games, worship and a message. See you there!
