WHS is the second largest DECA chapter in LA! Join more than 219,000 high school in 3,500 schools across the world who are preparing for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, management and entrepreneurship. If you are interested in business, marketing or leadership – this is the club for you! The Walker FFA is a co-curricular organization that represents agriculture and leadership. In order to be a member, you MUST be enrolled in Mrs. Becnel's Agriscience class or Mr. Rushing's carpentry classes last school year or this school year. The Walker FFA focuses on premier leadership, personal growth, and career success. Students who are members have the opportunity to participate in numerous community service, leadership, and career development events. Fee: $20

Culture Club

Culture Club

Walker High offers a unique Club that allows students to explore various cultures from around the world. Members enjoy exchanging cultural foods and experiences. The club has monthly cultural food pot lucks. Culture Club also promotes cultural diversity in our community and participates in various community service activities. Participation in club activities earn members merits. Merits are then applied to an annual trip to the culturally diverse city of New Orleans. Sponsor: Madame Kennedy

Key Club is a national service organization sponsored by Kiwanis Club. Key Club members volunteer and perform services that make our community and school better. The club members are eligible for scholarships. Sponsor: Mrs. Ragusa

FCA

FCA

FCA is our only Christian club on campus, so although it stands for "Fellowship of Christian Athletes", it is meant for all students. We will have a variety of things at our meetings, including guest speakers, student speakers and worship songs. We are involved in many events throughout the year, such as "See You at the Pole", the Homecoming Parade, and Fields of Faith. We meet every Friday morning as well as on the monthly club days. Beta club is a student honor society based on high academic achievement, excellent character, good citizenship and strong leadership. Requirements for membership include a GPA of at least 3.25 with no C's on report cards, a commendable attitude and willingness to participate in service projects. Sponsor: Mrs. Pablico/Mrs. Dalton
