AP Literature and Composition

We will focus on close reading of texts and analytical thinking skills

We will study literary works from around the world and throughout the centuries

A score of 3, 4, or 5 on the AP exam will earn credit at most colleges around the country
What We Do:

Read novels, plays, short stories and poems…inside and outside of class

Timed writings
-
Timed AP practice tests/group challenges

Group projects

Try new reading strategies, like dialectical journals, annotating a text, Emerson notes, group discussions, Socratic seminars, literature circles
Cost: $100 test fee ($55 reduced). $50($30) deposit due with application.
